BACKGROUND
Workforce Inefficiency
Businesses seeking international expansion urgently needed a centralized, unified solution
to overcome the challenges of fragmented tools and inefficient manual processes.
It became clear that there was a critical need to design a platform that could simplify complex operational management, including operational consulting, global hiring, and payroll compliance,
to help businesses streamline operations and ensure global compliance.
MY ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
I joined '0 to 1' project
As a UI/UX Designer, I joined this critical project during its initial stages, playing a pivotal role in transforming abstract business ideas into a concrete blueprint for the user experience.
My contributions were primarily focused on 4 key areas:

PROJECT ONTRODUCTION
What is GlobiFYE?
GlobiFYE is an Outsourcing and Offshoring Consulting platform dedicated to providing global workforce and process automation.
Our mission is to help businesses cut costs, optimize operations, and scale profitably without unnecessary expenses.
DEFINITION
What is Frugal Scaling?
Frugal Scaling is the art of growing business smarter, not costlier. It’s about achieving rapid, sustainable expansion without wasting resources and without hiring bloated teams, overpaying for software, or building inefficient operations.
At GlobiFYE, we help you:
✓ Scale globally without legal and Compliance headaches
✓ Use automation and AI to cut manual work
✓ Outsource non-core tasks to reduce overhead
✓ Build a top-tier team at a fraction of local costs
✓ Maximize ROI on every dollar you spend
CHALLENGE
The Outsourcing Hurdle for Startups & SMBs
The existing global workforce outsourcing market was plagued by critical inefficiencies that businesses, especially startups and SMBs, struggled to overcome.
CHALLENGE #1
Compliance & Cost Complexities
Navigating the intricate web of international labor laws, tax regulations, and payroll requirements for a global team was overwhelmingly complex and resource-intensive. Existing comprehensive solutions were often prohibitively expensive for startups and SMBs.
CHALLENGE #2
Fragmented Tools & Manual Processes
Companies were forced to use a disjointed array of separate tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets, various HR apps) for global hiring, payroll, project management, and compliance. This reliance on manual coordination created significant friction.
User Research
Uncovering Global Workforce Pain Points
For this '0 to 1' project, our discovery phase exposed deep-seated frustrations among businesses managing global teams. Their reliance on fragmented tools and manual workflows pointed to an urgent and unmet need for a unified solution.
Finding #1
The Onboarding Labyrinth
Q1. How would you describe your current experience with onboarding new global talent, particularly regarding clarity and efficiency?

Onboarding new global talent was a chaotic, manual, and often inconsistent process.
Lack of a clear, guided pathway led to confusion, missed steps, and significant hand-holding by managers. Localized compliance information was rarely integrated into the process.
Finding #2
Uncertainty, Compliance Vulnerabilities
Q2. What are your biggest challenges in maintaining real-time visibility and compliance for your global team?

Managers lacked clear, real-time visibility into their global team's performance, project progress,
and especially compliance status. The data required for reporting was fragmented and required significant manual aggregation.
Finding #3
The Information Maze
Q3. Approximately how many hours per week do you or your team spend consolidating scattered information (from emails, spreadsheets, apps) related to global operations?

Clients and global talent struggled with information overload and disorganization.
Critical data was scattered across emails, spreadsheets, and various third-party apps, making efficient retrieval nearly impossible. Users spent an average of X hours per week just consolidating scattered information.
DESIGN STRATEGY
Defining a Lean MVP for a Phased Launch
Considering we were in the initial stages of design, we proposed a 10 week, phased product roadmap.
Our strategy was to start with a simple MVP that would pilot the core features that resonated most positively with users during initial testing.

IMPLEMENTATION
Design Hand-off & Collaboration
CHALLENGE #2
From Blueprint to Build
My internship concluded with the delivery of a comprehensive set of low-fidelity wireframes and a validated Information Architecture. This design foundation was handed off to GlobiFYE's global development team to kickstart the implementation phase. Although my direct involvement ended here, my role was crucial in ensuring a smooth transition from design to development.

-> What I Did :
I functioned as the vital bridge between business objectives and technical execution.
My key responsibilities included:
Ensuring Design Integrity
Advocating for the user and ensuring our foundational designs directly addressed the core pain points (e.g., 'Information Maze', 'Onboarding Labyrinth') identified during research.
Facilitating Global Adaptability
Designing core components with modularity to ensure the UI's flexibility for diverse international contexts and compliance standards.
Driving User-Centricity in Development
Actively participating in daily scrum meetings with the global engineering and PM teams (UK, USA, China, Korea), consistently emphasizing user needs and business goals to maintain focus on solving the right problems.
